Simulation Engine

EEcircuit provides an interactive simulation engine to test your schematics.

Sweep a voltage or current source and observe the outputs. This helps in understanding the DC transfer characteristics of your circuit.

Observe the behavior of the circuit over time. This simulation type is ideal for seeing how signals change as they propagate through your design.

Analyze the frequency response of your circuit. This is useful for filters, amplifiers, and identifying resonant frequencies.

EEcircuit supports parametric sweeps using bracket notation. For example, setting a resistor value to [1:1:10]k will sweep the resistance from 1kΩ to 10kΩ in 1kΩ steps during a DC simulation.

For advanced users, EEcircuit allows you to manually write SPICE commands by selecting the None configuration in the simulation settings. This provides full control over the simulation engine, enabling you to add custom analysis commands or netlist modifications directly in the built-in editor.

  1. Ensure your schematic is completely wired.
  2. Click the Run Simulation button in the toolbar.
  3. Observe the results in the plotting window.
